Hubway is a public form of transportation serving the four municipalities of Boston, Brookline, Cambridge and Somerville. Hubway initially launched in July of 2011 with just 610 bikes and 60 stations in Boston. In 2012 Hubway expanded to the three other municipalities in order to serve more people.
As a public bike share, Hubway has succeeded in establishing bike share in many diverse neighborhoods in the metro-Boston area, including an expansive 2015/16 deployment into Roxbury and Dorchester.
We're proud to offer a $5 low-income membership to residents of Boston; learn more about the low-income Hubway membership program.
